Mission

My dance studio works to develop and promote opportunities in the Performing Arts for local Metropolitan youth; contributing to their quality of life by providing opportunities not only in dance, but in skill development, discipline, and self-confidence; building a foundation of greatness and excellence.

Objective

Self expression and creativity are essential to childhood development.  Dance teaches students self-confidence and motivation.  It helps students to achieve goals, work with others effectively, and develop valuable skills in problem solving and self-discipline.  The world can become complex and an impersonal place to a child.   My Dance Studio offers students a haven and a positive outlet to explore their individuality through the Art of dance.

Beyond instruction, dance opens a wide spectrum of social settings in which friendships are forged and dreams come true.  Several studies have shown that students in dance performance do better academically.  It teaches competence and gives students the abilities to combine content, perspectives, and various elements to achieve specific artistic and analytical goals.  Students can then arrive at their own knowledge, beliefs, and values for making personal decisions.  As a result, the joy of experiencing the arts is enriched and matured by the discipline of learning and the pride of accomplishment.
