Jenna Williams, owner of My Dance Studio, Inc., is classically trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop with over 25 years of dance and cheerleading experience. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of the Michigan-Ann Arbor in Movement Science and is a proud alumnus of the nationally ranked University of Michigan Dance team. She is owner of Pro-Level Choreography and has done choreography for dance teams in WNBA, NBA, AFL, in addition to All-Star cheer/dance teams, local high school teams and dance studios. She is former Captain and guest choreographer for Detroit Pistons Dance Team-Automotion and has performed with renowned recording artists such as Mary J. Blige, Boys II Men, and Wyclef. She is also the current coach of the Eastern Michigan University Dance Team.
LaTasha Tillman has been an instructor at MDS for 3 years, with 20 years of dance experience under her belt. LaTasha has studied all genres throughout her dance career: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Polynesian, Dunham and Tumbling. LaTasha comes with 18 years studio instruction, dance team experience from little league to a collegiate and professional perspective. LaTasha has danced in many companies throughout the Detroit Area.
LaTasha is not a stranger to the dance and competition world as she was the former coordinator of the Dance Competition at the yearly Michigan State Fair. LaTasha has judged many dance team, cheer and modeling competitions. LaTasha resume includes being: an alumni of the Detroit Pistons Dance Team, she has graced the stage of the likes of Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight and Brian Freidman to name a few. Currently, LaTasha continues to rotate to studios to assist with competition choreography, master classes, company auditions, and make-up and hair techniques. LaTasha also judges at a collegiate level for Michigan State Eastern Michigan, and has provided court choreography for Eastern Michigan Dance Team.
Aaron Anderson, affectionally known as "Uncle Aaron", is beginning his 3rd year as the hip hop teacher MDS. He is enthusiastic and makes learning fun!
Terri Manning has over 25 years of experience in both dance and theatre. She has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern and African dance. She has danced, choreographed and hosted for NBA, WNBA, AFL and AFL2 dance teams, including the Detroit Pistons Dance Team- Automotion where she acted as Captain and advisor. Terri earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampton University where she also danced and served as Vice President for the Terpsichorean Dance Company for four years. Terri truly enjoys working with children and is looking forward to continuing to teach the students at MDS not only dance, but also teamwork, discipline and self-respect.
